HOW THIS WORKS

Every number on this page is read from the contracts as you load it. Nothing here is a claim you have to take on trust, and where something cannot be checked yet, it says so.

THE SHORT VERSION

A box costs ... ETH. Ninety five percent of what reaches the contracts goes into a vault, and the marketplace takes its fee before that. When the sale closes the vault is frozen, then a seed is revealed, and from that moment every box has a determined content that anyone can compute and nobody can change.

Opening a box burns project tokens and pays out its share. The box survives, marked as opened, and stays yours to keep, sell or lock. Its picture changes with it, so an opened box looks opened everywhere it is shown.

WHY NOBODY CAN PICK THE WINNERS

The seed is keccak256(secret, blockhash(target)). The operator publishes a hash of the secret before a single box is sold, so it cannot be swapped later. The target block does not exist when it is nominated, so its hash cannot be known by anyone.

Neither half is enough on its own. Grinding candidate secrets is useless against a block hash that has not happened, and the chain cannot bias an outcome it never sees the secret for.

WHY THE ORDER MATTERS

The vault freezes before the seed exists. That ordering is the whole guarantee: if the seed came first, the operator would know who won while still able to change how much the winners receive.

Freezing first makes the two independent. What is in the vault was decided without knowing who gets it, and who gets what was decided when the amount could no longer move.

WHAT A BOX PAYS

Two independent draws decide a box: one picks how large a share it takes, the other picks which asset that share comes out of. They use separately tagged hashes, so the two cannot correlate. Any tier can pay any asset.

Reading the payout table from the contract...

The ratios between these rows are exact rather than approximate. What a tier pays per box is its unit over the sum of the units actually drawn, so a box paying a hundred times another is a property of the arithmetic and holds for every possible draw, not on average.

The figures themselves assume the vault is funded by the sale alone, after the marketplace fee. Anything added before the freeze moves them up, and fewer boxes sold moves them up too, since the same pool is divided among fewer claimants. What a box pays in ETH depends on the balance on the day, which is why the front page reads it live.

The bottom row is the most likely outcome and it pays less than the mint price. That is what buying a sealed box means, and it is on this page for the same reason the rest of it is.

WHERE THE PRIZES COME FROM

The vault holds the chain's native currency and tokenised equities. Every asset is verified by behaviour before it is wired in, not by name: several contracts on this chain answer to the same ticker, and one of them holds seventy five wei of a pool nobody trades.

Payouts are shares of what the vault holds, never fixed amounts. A fixed amount can go unfunded. A share cannot: the last box in a group takes whatever remains, so the vault empties to exactly zero.

WHAT THE OPERATOR CAN AND CANNOT DO

Every adjustable value sits inside a floor and a ceiling written once, at deployment. No function of any kind widens them, at any privilege level, which means the range is readable from the deployed contract rather than promised.

After the freeze the operator cannot withdraw from the vault. There is no sweep, no expiry and no reclaim on an unopened box, so no privileged path exists that could be aimed at a holder's prize. A box unopened in ten years still opens.

There are no proxies and no upgrade path. A bug found after deployment cannot be patched. That is the price of describing any of this as a property rather than an intention, and it is accepted deliberately.

WORDS USED HERE

Sealed
A box that has not been opened. What it holds is not decided yet, and after the reveal it is decided but unclaimed. Either way it looks like every other sealed box.
The seed
One number that decides every box at once. It is the hash of a secret the operator committed to before the sale, mixed with the hash of a block that did not exist when the commitment was made.
The reveal
The moment the secret is published and the seed exists. From then on every box has a determined content that anyone can compute, and nobody can change.
The freeze
The moment the vault records its balances. Nothing can be added or removed afterward. It happens before the reveal, which is the point.
Reroll
Burning two sealed boxes and some project tokens to receive one new sealed box. Only available before the reveal.
Opening
Burning project tokens to claim what a box holds. The box survives and stays yours, marked as opened.

CHECK IT YOURSELF

The collection, the vault and the dials are all readable on the explorer. Artwork and metadata render inside the contracts, with no IPFS and no server, so a token looks the same whether or not anything this project runs is still up.
